BTC Devs: “It Works Great For Very Large, Unimportant Transactions”

Responding to criticism that the tiny-block network has high fees and slow confirmation times, BTC Core Developers cleared up confusion yesterday in an email to TST:

BTC works like a charm. You just can’t use it for small, medium, or medium-large transactions because of the extremely high fees, and you don’t want to use it for anything urgent because of the long, unpredictable wait times, and you don’t want to use it for anything important because of the security vulnerabilities introduced when we added Replace By Fee and the fact that in peak times there’s an outside chance of chain-death where you never get your coins. But the network is working flawlessly for very large, unimportant transactions, just like Satoshi envisioned.”
